Common Questions

What are your rates?

$200 USD/hour; $190/hour with your active student-specific code. Sessions run 1–3 hours, bookable directly or through Wyzant.

Do you offer a free consultation?

No. All sessions, including the first, are billed at the standard rate. The first session is not a sales call; it is a working session in which we analyze your score data and build your plan. You leave it with concrete deliverables, which is precisely why it is not free.

My exam is in a few weeks. Can you still help?

Often, yes. Short-timeline preparation is a triage problem: we identify the highest-yield gaps in your practice data and attack only those. Reach out with your exam date and most recent practice scores and I will tell you honestly whether the timeline is workable.

I have failed this exam before. Is your approach different for retakes?

Substantially. Retake preparation starts with a forensic analysis of your score report and prior study approach, because repeating the same method predicts repeating the same result. Eight of my students have been retakers on their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th attempt. All eight passed.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your baseline, timeline, and goals. Some students need two or three targeted strategy sessions; retakers and students far from their goal typically benefit from weekly structured sessions over one to three months. We define this together during your first session.

What happens in the first session?

We review your score history, practice exam data, timeline, and study methods, then build your personalized plan. You leave with concrete, prioritized next steps regardless of whether you book further sessions.

What is your cancellation policy?

Wyzant bookings follow Wyzant's cancellation policy. Direct requests require acceptance. Unaccepted requests can be withdrawn without charge. Accepted sessions can be cancelled without charge more than 24 hours before start. Inside 24 hours, cancellation, rescheduling or a student no-show incurs the full booked fee. Short-notice acceptance is unlikely, especially outside Eastern evenings; my residency schedule can include evenings and nights. Tutor cancellations are not billed. Full terms and privacy policy.

Do you tutor in French?

Oui. I am fluent in French and happy to conduct sessions or clarify concepts en français, particularly for Canadian students preparing for the MCCQE or NAC OSCE.
